Mrs Forgetful

I found my debit card, the iPod, and my keys. I was thinking it was a pretty good day until I remembered it would have been better if I didn't lose all that stuff in the first place. Oh yeah, and I forgot to pick up Clain at school...

It's not me, it's really really you

It was not hard to leave Alabama. As I've been telling people, it's not in my top 50 states. I don't understand why anyone lives there. We have cars, buses, planes, feet... why doesn't everyone just leave?

I tried really hard to think of positive things about Alabama. So after weeks and weeks of pondering, here's the short list:
  • The southern accents made everyone seem nice. And charming. And interesting. Even Mason picked up a bit of a drawl.
  • I liked that religion was part of life. Though not my beliefs, it seemed that people were more open and vocal about theirs. I liked seeing all sorts of chapels everywhere. I like to see people having faith in God. Billboards and bumper stickers are not my style, but to each his own.
  • The drivers were courteous. They are really nice about letting people in and leaving room in the intersections and in front of exits. Then again it wouldn't have mattered if the traffic wasn't so bad all the time...
  • The humidity was really good for Mason's skin. He didn't have a single rash or patch of eczema until we were back in UT.
And that's it. So even though breaking up is hard to do... it's just not this time around.

The Most Depressing Day of the Year

It's sort of a gloomy day out and I haven't gotten done as much as I'd like. Go figure. I just saw on MSN.com that today is the official "The Most Depressing Day of the Year". If it's on the internet it must be true. Suddenly I feel lethargic and moody.

Now I feel embarrassed for dancing while I picked up toys. How heartless of me.

I am going to go put my pj's back on and go back to bed. I wish I had known in advance it was going to be "The Most Depressing Day of the Year". I wouldn't have been such a party pooper.

That is NOT OKAY

I looked at my blog yesterday and saw that it was infested. MY BLOG. My personal space. MY WORDS were covered in slimy green and double underlined. This is called "In Text Advertising". This is NOT OKAY. I do NOT want ads in MY BLOG. I went through all my settings, and even changed some of my words to see if that helped. I am now using Firefox exclusively and it seems to have helped. I am still disgusted.

Things that bug

Not to sound like a Negative Nancy but these things have been on my mind. Maybe posting them will help me vent:

  • People at parades: Hand over your heart, clap at the floats, don't hog the candy. These are things you should have mastered by first grade.
  • Whale Wars: When I first saw this show I thought it was a joke. No joke. These bumbling idiots are for real. Shame on Animal Planet for airing it. It's embarrassing.
  • Nancy Grace: Another TV show that should be banned. No thank you Nancy for epitomizing all that is wrong with America, feminism, and the media. You aren't helping anyone. Shame on you for exploiting victims of tragedies to promote yourself and your book.
  • Daylight Savings Time: Go Arizona!
  • Free loaders: I'm sad that you have food stamps and a big screen TV and a tricked out ride. I'm sad that you couldn't take the job because then you would make too much and lose your welfare assistance. Really need help? Ok, but then do everything you can to become independent again. You can't get something for nothing. I can't really go off on this topic as much as I'd like because I still feel guilty for cashing my economic stimulus check.
  • Screaming kids: Oh wait, that one is mine. Sorry.

Okay, I feel much better.
